Relative Harmony is an acoustic trio comprised of Rick Avery (vocals, keyboards, guitar and banjo); Judy Greenhill and Jonathan Avery (vocals, violin and percussion). Our daughter Katie Avery (vocals, violin, cello, guitar) joins us on occasion when she is back in Southern Ontario. Currently, she resides in Whitehorse in the Yukon Territories, where she performs with local bands and teaches Suzuki Violin.
We perform a variety of British and North American folk music, a sampling of which is listed on the CDs we’ve released. Our most recent recording, “Rolling Home”, features all four of us singing and playing a wide range of folk songs and tunes. You can hear samples of many of the current New England dance bands and it is sure to keep you on your toes with a strong, steady back-beat and energetic fiddling.
We have performed all over Ontario (including Ottawa, Owen Sound, Toronto & Hamilton) and in the U.S.; and at a plethora of school, community, camp and wedding dances.
